The United States Secretary of Labor is the head of the United States Department of Labor who decides on decisions for the department and enforces and suggests laws involving unions, the workplace and all other issues involving any form of business-person controversies. Previously there was one United States Secretary of Commerce and Labor, uniting this department with the United States Department of Commerce, which is headed by a separate United States Secretary of Commerce. Six women have served as Secretary of Labor, which is more than any other cabinet position.
